Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment, course, or service with Higher Self Healing by Kay, you ("the Client") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Appointment Rescheduling
Appointments for all services may be rescheduled at no additional charge if the request is made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Requests made within 48 hours may be subject to the cancellation policy outlined below.

For Certification Courses, rescheduling requests must be made at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the scheduled course. Requests made within 72 hours may be subject to the cancellation policy outlined below.
2. Disclaimer
Higher Self Healing by Kay provides complementary wellness services, including Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy (IET), Guided Meditation, Tarot & Oracle Card Readings, and Reiki training & other healing modalities.

These services are intended to support relaxation, personal growth, and overall wellbeing. They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice or treatment.

The practitioner is not a medical doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, or licensed healthcare provider. Any information or guidance provided during sessions is offered for informational and spiritual purposes only. Clients should always seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical or mental health concerns.
3. Course Cancellations
For Certification Courses, cancellations or rescheduling requests by the client, require a minimum of 72 hours (3 days') notice. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled course or failure to attend, will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the entire course fee.

Where possible, Clients may choose to reschedule their course to a future available date at the discretion of the practitioner.
4. Service Cancellations & No-Shows
Appointments for all services may be rescheduled at no additional charge or cancelled (fully refundable), with a minimum of 48 hours' notice.

Cancellations, rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment, or failure to attend a scheduled appointment (no-show) will result in 100% of the appointment fee being forfeited.
5. Payment
Payment is required in accordance with the payment instructions provided at the time of booking.

Failure to make payment within the required timeframe may result in cancellation of the appointment or course booking. And will result in 100% of the appointment fee being forfeited.
6. Appointment Duration
Appointments are scheduled for a specific duration. Clients are responsible for arriving on time.

If a Client arrives late, the appointment may still conclude at the originally scheduled finishing time to avoid impacting subsequent appointments. The full appointment fee will remain payable.

Should a Client request to extend their appointment, or if the session continues beyond the scheduled appointment time at the Client's request and where the practitioner's schedule permits, an additional fee of $25 AUD will apply for every 15-minute extension (or part thereof).

Appointment extensions are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

7. Confidentiality
All personal information and discussions shared during or outside of your scheduled appointments will be treated with respect and confidentiality - Information will only be disclosed where required by law or where there is a legal obligation to do so.

8. Changes to Appointments
Higher Self Healing by Kay reserves the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to illness, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Should this occur, every reasonable effort will be made to notify the Client as soon as possible and arrange a mutually convenient alternative appointment - if it is not possible to arrange an alternative appointment, any payments received for the affected booking will be refunded in full.

9. Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for:

Providing accurate and up-to-date contact information.

Arriving on time for appointments.

Advising of any relevant health concerns where appropriate.

Understanding that healing experiences and outcomes vary from person to person, and no specific results can be guaranteed.
11. Private Property & Premises
Higher Self Healing by Kay operates from a private residential property. By attending an appointment or course, Clients acknowledge that they are entering private premises at their own risk and agree to exercise reasonable care while on the property.

Clients are responsible for taking reasonable care for their own safety and for the safety of any personal belongings they bring onto the premises.
​
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Higher Self Healing by Kay and the owner of the property shall not be liable for any accident, injury, loss, damage, or theft that may occur while a Client is on the premises, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Clients agree to immediately notify the practitioner of any hazards, incidents, accidents, or injuries that occur during their visit.
11. Animals on the Premises
Higher Self Healing by Kay operates from premises where a friendly dog and cat are present.
​
Clients who have allergies, sensitivities, or concerns relating to animals are encouraged to advise Higher Self Healing by Kay prior to booking or attending their appointment. While every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate client needs where possible, the presence of animals and pet dander cannot be completely eliminated from the premises.
​
By attending an appointment, Clients acknowledge that they are aware of the presence of these animals and accept responsibility for any allergies or sensitivities they may have.

12. Animal Appointments & Owner Responsibility
Higher Self Healing by Kay is pleased to offer energy healing services for animals. By booking an appointment for an animal, the Client confirms that they are the owner of the animal or have the owner's permission to arrange treatment.

The Client is responsible for ensuring that their animal is appropriately restrained and under their control at all times unless otherwise directed by the practitioner.
Clients must advise Higher Self Healing by Kay prior to the appointment if their animal has a history of aggression, anxiety, biting, scratching, or any other behavioural concerns that may affect the safety of those present.

Higher Self Healing by Kay reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, or reschedule any animal appointment if the practitioner believes the animal's behaviour presents a risk to the safety of any person or animal.
​
The Client accepts full responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss caused by their animal while attending the premises or during the provision of services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Higher Self Healing by Kay and the owner of the property against any claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses arising from the actions or behaviour of the Client's animal.

Energy healing is a complementary wellness practice and is not intended to replace professional veterinary diagnosis or treatment. If an animal is unwell, injured, or experiencing a medical emergency, the Client should seek prompt advice from a qualified veterinarian.
​
As with all complementary therapies, individual responses to energy healing vary. Higher Self Healing by Kay makes no guarantee regarding specific outcomes or improvements following treatment and accepts no liability for decisions made by the Client regarding the care or treatment of their animal.

By booking with Higher Self Healing with Kay, you confirm that your animal is not known to pose an unreasonable risk to people or other animals. You have disclosed any known behavioural or medical concerns and understand that Higher Self Healing by Kay may discontinue the session at any time if safety of the animal, animals on premises, owner or practitioner becomes a concern.

13. Children on Premises
Children accompanying Clients remain the responsibility of the accompanying adult at all times. For the safety of all visitors, children must be supervised while on the property.
14. Personal Belongings
Clients may be asked to remove jewellery, watches, eyeglasses etc. if the practitioner deems is necessary for the service. In the event this occurs, all personal effects will be kept in a safe place in plain view at all times.

Clients are responsible for their own personal belongings while attending appointments or courses. Higher Self Healing by Kay accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property brought onto the premises.
15. Mobile Devices
To maintain a calm and relaxing environment, Clients are kindly requested to silence mobile phones and minimise interruptions during appointments.
16. Health & WellbeingÂ
If you are experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness, including cold or flu-like symptoms, please contact Higher Self Healing by Kay as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment.
17. Respectful Conduct
Higher Self Healing by Kay is committed to providing a safe, peaceful, and respectful environment for all clients. Aggressive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the immediate termination of the appointment without refund.
18. Right to Refuse or Terminate Services
Higher Self Healing by Kay reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services to any Client where deemed appropriate, including but not limited to inappropriate behaviour, failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions, or circumstances where it is considered that the services are not suitable for the Client.
19. Security Cameras on Premises
For the safety and security of clients, visitors, and the property, external security cameras are in operation at the entrance and around the outside of the premises. These cameras record video footage only in external areas and do not record within the treatment room or anywhere inside the residence.

By attending your appointment, you acknowledge that you may be recorded while entering or leaving the property. Footage is used solely for security, safety, and incident investigation purposes and is accessed only when required.
Acceptance of Terms
By booking an appointment, purchasing a course, or using the services provided by Higher Self Healing by Kay, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
